PLATFORM (ORAL) PRESENTATION GUIDELINES CHECK OUT THE NEW PRESENTATION EVALUATION FORM (.doc) A total of 15 minutes are allotted for oral presentations; presenters are expected to use 12 minutes for presentation of their research, with three minutes for questions. Oral presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint and brought to the meetings on a flash drive. It is recommended that slides consist of short headings and main points, plus any relevant graphics. Efforts should be made to develop clear slides with appropriate formatting (sans serif font [such as Arial, Calibri, Helvetica or Tahoma] and large type) that are easy to read by people standing in the back of the room. Complex tables and graphics should be avoided. Contact Gary Kwiecinski by 1 September 2008 if you are requesting other media capabilities for your presentation. The presentation schedule will be available at a later date. Upon arrival to the conference, directions for loading your presentation on a computer will be available. Student presentations are given priority in the schedule and occur first on the program agenda. Generally the first day of the conference will be a single session devoted to student presentations. |
